Hello Everyone,

Sorry, my blog post is late again. I have been interviewing for entry-level cybersecurity positions, so my blog has not been a priority at the moment. I’m back so let’s get started.

The main takeaway for this week was Open Source Intelligence aka OSINT. We learn about OSINT through a self-learning course called Open Source Intelligence made by the Basel Institute on Governance. Honestly, I didn’t expect much from this course. I am surprised that I learn so much from it. Also, it was interactive. The course use activities to show how cybersecurity professional use OSINT and OSINT tools to gather and collect information from free public sources such as pictures found on social media on a target. I really enjoyed the course and I recommend you all check it out. Here is the link: https://learn.baselgovernance.org/enrol/index.php?id=79.

Because everyone loved the OSINT course, VTF is considering creating an OSINT/threat intelligence cybersecurity internship which could be a great thing. If you read my blog, then you already know my hesitation about their internship. Also, our mandatory zoom meeting ended abruptly. No warning was given. We were all confused because he didn’t tell us he was going to end the meeting at all. We had to look in the discord channel in order to find out that the zoom meeting was done and he was not going to start another one. That was it for this week.

Thank you for reading my blog post about my cybersecurity internship journey. I can't believe there are only three weeks left. I have learned so much from this internship and how quickly these 10 weeks have gone by. Please follow along for updates for week 8. Look forward to the next post. Bye!!!!!!
